Fitzroy & Collingwood

Hustling and bustling, Fitzroy and Collingwood are the places to be on the weekends for vintage. The most prominent areas to source vintage, Fitzroy and Collingwood are just a short 10-minute walk from each other (the good spots anyway).

Wander down Brunswick Street to The Lost and Found Market for a massive 900-square-metre warehouse that’s full of true vintage treasures. Each section is sourced by different people, so the range is endless. Give yourself a few hours to get through it all!

Looking for items from all over the globe? Vintage Sole on Brunswick Street is your spot! From vintage leather jackets and Levi’s to the coolest cowboy boots you’ve ever seen, this store houses pieces from the 50s to the 80s.

Take a short walk to your next stop: Vintage Garage! Situated on Smith Street, this gem is filled with goodies from the 1950s and 1960s and it’s also a whirlwind colour that will leave you smiling from the staff to the decor.

City & North Melbourne

Melbourne city is filled with great food and fashion and just a stone’s throw away is North Melbourne. Grab yourself a coffee and head to these incredible spots - but be careful not to spill it!

An iconic store in Melbourne for vintage, you’ll find RetroStar on Swanston Street in Melbourne CBD. With over 10,000 items to go through, you can shop vintage band tees from the 80s to Y2K fashion. This is not one to miss!

You’ll find an unmatched selection of recycled goods at Hunter Gatherer at Royal Arcade, Bourke Street Mall. Packed with items from all eras, this is a good place to fill your shopping bag!

With a collection of luxury items from auctions, Martin Fella Vintage on Queensberry Street houses stunning pieces from all over Asia, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Check out this massive range of Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, YSL and so much more.

Preston

Take a quick dip to Preston for a vintage marketplace like no other. From the staff to the fit-out, Retro polis contains handpicked items for hours of vintage entertainment. This store literally has something for everyone.

Markets

Last but not least – let’s hit the markets! A great place to find affordable pieces, markets are a great morning activity, in the brisk winter chill or sunshine of summer.

Camberwell market is on every Sunday from 7 am to 12 pm and is situated in the car park near Woolworths. This market is different every week, although there are some regulars. You will never know what you will find but we promise you will not leave empty-handed!

Fitzroy Mills market is a gorgeous place to spend your Saturday morning. Take a stroll along Rose Street to find an array of stalls offering the coolest pieces Fitzroy folk have to offer. Plus, they are affordable!

Head Out of the City!

We wish we could list every single vintage store in Melbourne but there are just too many! A quick tip from us - head out of the city for some affordable recycled finds. Places like the Mornington Peninsula and Warrandyte have some killer op shops that are extremely affordable.

Don't feel like going out? Official Vintage has you covered with incredible true vintage finds that you won’t find anywhere else but online.
